Cost



Question :

What does it cost for my child to attend camp?

 
Answer :

Cost is 175.00 per child for the overnight youth camp and $75 per child for the day camp.  Scholarships may also be available on an as-need basis. This cost covers all food, lodging, and activities. The cost of camp has been highly subsidized by our sponsors to help keep the cost down.

 
Question :

Does my child need any money when they come to camp?

 
Answer :

No, however, there is a camp store where kids can purchase items.  You can fund your childs camp store account online when you register your child or at drop off when they arrive at camp.

Question :

Who sponsors the camp?

 
Answer :

SEP Montana is sponsored by Living Hope Fellowship (www.livinghopehelena.org), a local Helena christian church affiliated with with Grace Communion International. However, a variety of Christian churches around Montana and business/civic organizations have combined resources to make the event happen.  Examples of past supporters have included McDonalds of Helenha, Helena Valley Faith Center, Heuiser Physical Therapy, Tizer Meats, Meineke, Set Free Helena, Montana National Guard, Waterfun Rentals, Johnson & Associates, Inc. and others.

Question :

Can I attend camp with my child?

 
Answer :

For a variety of reasons, parents/frieds/etc. of campers cannot attend camp unless they are officially enrolled in camp.  If a parent would like to attend camp with their child, we have a limited number of volunteer staff openings which can be applied for.  However, parents are welcome to stop by for a visit any time camp is in session.  Check in at the office and we will be happy to show you around.

 
Question :

Is this a day camp or overnight camp?

 
Answer :

Both.  SEP Montana Youth Camp is an overnight camp for kids going into 2nd grade through 17 years old.  Parents drop off kids at the beginning of camp and pick them up at the end of camp.  SEP Montana Day Camp is a day camp only for younger kids Kindergarden through age 12 years old.

 
Question :

What is the ratio of campers to staff?

 
Answer :

Generally, we have a ratio of about 1.5 camper to 1 staff member.

 
Question :

Are staff checked for a history of criminal or sexual offense activity?

 
Answer :

Yes.  All our staff have criminal background checks on file with the office.  Anyone with any record of sexual offence is disqualified from working as a staff member.

 
Question :

Can children younger than 7 years old or grade 2 attend?

 
Answer :

No.  We provide minicamp for children of staff which are under the minimum age/grade requirement.  However, other children are not allowed if they don't meet the minimum age requirement.

 

Day Camp



Question :

What age group can attend SEP Montana Day Camp?

 
Answer :

We accept youth from grades Kindergarden through age 12.  They are split into groups with other kids close to their age group with a counselor and assistant counselor assigned to each group. 

 

Overnight Youth Camp



Question :

What age group can attend SEP Montana Youth Camp?

 
Answer :

We accept youth from grades 2-12.  They are split into dorms with other kids close to their age group with a counselor and assistant counselor assigned to each dorm.  There is a maximum camper to counselor ratio of 8:1.
